System of a Down's landmark second studio album, *Toxicity*, unleashes a sonic revolution that amplified the band's signature sound. Building on the raw heaviness of their 1998 debut, this record layers aggressive riffs with unexpected melody, intricate harmonies, and commanding vocals that redefined heavy metal for a new generation.
The album spawned three defining singles—"Chop Suey!", "Toxicity", and "Aerials"—each a masterclass in dynamic songwriting that balances brutality with accessibility. From the prison-yard intensity of "Prison Song" to the atmospheric sprawl of "Aerials", *Toxicity* captures a band at peak creative power, addressing social and political themes through uncompromising arrangements and memorable hooks.
This USA Exclusive vinyl pressing preserves the album's sonic depth across 15 tracks, including the bonus cut "Arto". An essential addition for collectors and a gateway to one of metal's most intellectually fierce and sonically adventurous records.
